Following Family Literacy Day celebrations on January 27th, students at Red Lake Madsen Public School celebrated their second Student Activity Day of the school year. Picking between a host of different activities, the local elementary school students practiced yoga, learnt how to write calligraphy, play Inuit games and create their own stationary and cards. Making good use of the Northern Sun News back issues, students were also challenged to build a structurally strong and tall tower using one metre of tape and as many newspapers as necessary.
