Red Lake Rams Hockey

The Red Lake Rams played two games at the Cochenour Arena this weekend against the Queen Elizabeth Warriors from Sioux Lookout.   

The first game Friday January 12th, the Rams scored early in the game with Jake McCleary netting one on the power play.    The Warriors stormed back and scored 8 unanswered goals.    Final score was 8 to 1 in favour of the Warriors. 

In the second game on Saturday January 13th, Jordan Baranesky opened the scoring for the Rams with a shorthanded goal.   Baranesky scored his second of the period and  Kai Parrish added one 30 seconds later to give the Rams a 3 to 1 lead going into the first intermission.   

In the second period the Rams started to get into penalty trouble and the Warriors took advantage and scored 3 unanswered goals and they lead 4 to 3 after two periods.   

In the third period, the Rams undisciplined play continued and the Warriors were able to capitalize and score two more goals.   Quinn Brait added a goal for the Rams and the game ended with the Warriors on top 6 to 4.
