The Red Lake Rockets players and coaches were all smiles on Jan. 22 after going undefeated in the Thunder Bay Robins Hockey Tournament this past weekend. The team battled through six contenders and met up with the Marathon Mercs in the ATOM A final on Sunday evening. Fans at home were able to follow the game through a live stream and witnessed the local team post a final score of 4-1 to take the championship title. The tournament brought out 120 teams in all divisions from across Northern Ontario. Coach Kevin Just said on Monday this was a huge accomplishment for the team who competed in the largest division of the tournament.

Team members include: Luc Norlock, Darian Clarke, Griffin Kowalchuk, Zachary Ecuimates, Luc Brait, Quintin Cooke, Jackson Juniper, Ben Barenesky, Cameron Just, Steven St Jean, Shae Cousineau, Owen Gignac, Jack Boehm and Hudson Gagne; Coaches – Dale Gagne, Kevin Just and John Barensky; Manager – Chrissy St. Jean
